The University of North Carolina at Greensboro invites applications for the position of Coordinator of Programming and Academic Adviser for Lloyd International Honors College.
Lloyd International Honors College serves approximately 1,000 highly talented students, a large percentage of whom study abroad, live in one of three honors residence halls, and participate in advanced disciplinary work. The Honors College seeks an individual with a strong commitment to honors and international education, and to the preparation of talented students for professional lives in an interdependent world.
The Honors College seeks a Coordinator of Programming for the International Honors Program and Academic Advisor for Honors students pursuing both International and Disciplinary Honors. The incumbent will coordinate student programming events and The incumbent will advise students in both the International and Disciplinary Honors programs serve as the coordinator of communications and promotion of the Honors College via social media (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn); will write press releases for the Honors College; will edit the Honors College newsletter Navigator and the Honors College blog There Be Dragons; will continuously update student profiles on the Honors College website.
The position requires a Master’s degree or equivalent preferred. PhD or other terminal degree welcomed. Experience in undergraduate advising is preferred. Administrative experience in an Honors College or demonstrated knowledge of and involvement with honors work is preferred. The applicant should demonstrate excellent organizational, written, and verbal communication skills, as well as the ability to work with faculty, staff, and a diverse student body. The candidate should possess knowledge Microsoft Office Suite; experience with Banner and Filemaker is preferred.
