The University of Arkansas at Fayetteville is seeking a crisis mental health clinician/case manager for the Pat Walker Health Center’s Counseling and Psychological Services (CAPS).
Summary of Job Duties: The Crisis Mental Health Clinician/Case Manager will coordinate and provide crisis and initial consultation services for students seeking or needing clinical services of Counseling and Psychological Services (CAPS). This position will have the primary responsibility to assess students presenting to CAPS in apparent urgent distress/crisis, coordinate initial clinical disposition, and implement necessary follow-up including coordination within CAPS and with other campus and community mental health providers, case managers, and stakeholders.
CAPS recently established a doctoral internship in Health Service Psychology and are currently APPIC members.
Regular, reliable, and non-disruptive attendance is an essential job duty, as is the ability to create and maintain collegial, harmonious working relationships with others.

Minimum Qualifications: Master’s degree from an accredited institution of higher education in a social work program, counselor education, or related field conferred by the start of employment or Ph.D. in clinical or counseling psychology, social work, or counselor education from an accredited institution of higher education conferred by the start of employment; plus State of Arkansas license for independent practice in one’s discipline or the eligibility for licensure within a timely manner given the requirements of the applicable licensing body.
