| This Desktop Management Senior Advisor positon shall be responsible for all administrative aspects of the Rational & Optim solutions. They will have strong and solid knowledge of tool administration and help desk needs. They also must be a strong performer relative to providing administrative support in the Rational solutions with strong focus in ClearCase, ClearQuest, RequisitePro, and testing solutions. Their leadership will help build a strong cohesive administration team with skills that span multiple technologies. Responsible for installing, configuring, testing and maintaining systems that automate, measure or manage other standardized processes and tools within Technology and Operations. Primary duties may include, but are not limited to: Performs assigned tasks to complete highly complex customer requests for configuration, testing and/or delivery of desktop software applications and standardized Operating Systems components and patches to production desktops. Provides support to IT users of desktop management tools to resolve highly complex technical issues and provides 3rd level Helpdesk support for resolution of Sev1/Sev2 outages, based on SME status. Interface with software vendors to resolve desktop toolset issues of high complexity. Participates in meeting to advance regional or enterprise desktop configuration initiatives of high complexity and leads breakout sessions to gather requirements. Evaluate and recommend distributed Desktop Management software tools to increase team productivity and reduce cost. Represent the team as SME for complex audit requirements, in conjunction with administrative manager. Perform level III systems administration of selected desktop management applications. Evaluate current inter and intra-departmental workflows and partner with related area to create or revise processes as needed. Approves all high level component designs for applications. |

Skills:
|
| Requires BA/BS in related field; 8 years of professional level experience in information systems, computer networking or telecommunications systems development and management; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background. Masters degree preferred. Knowledge of a Rational products with strong preference of ClearCase, ClearQuest, RequisitePro, and testing solutions and demonstrates a mastery of leveraging that knowledge when participating in strategic decisions required. Technical certification in IBM Rational is strongly preferred.. Excellent written and oral communications skills required. Expert knowledge of analysis, design, coding and testing concepts is required. |
