Volunteer State Community College


Instructor of Psychology

This position is responsible for teaching fifteen (15) hours of undergraduate psychology courses per semester via classroom, online or web-enhanced modalities; participation in college and community service. Minimum Job Requirements:
A Masters degree in Psychology or a Masters degree plus 18 graduate hours in Psychology is required. Two or more years experience in community college instruction preferred. Computer literacy is also required.

Essential Job Functions:
Teaching fifteen (15) hours per semester via classroom, online or web-enhanced modalities; maintaining designated office hours; serving on college committees (both standing and ad hoc); advising students as assigned; attending college department/faculty meetings; attending professional development activities; participating in community service; and developing and refining the curriculum. Evening, weekend, off-campus, and distance based teaching may be required.
