Position: Business Project Manager
Reporting to: Head of PMO, US Operations         
Location: Atlanta GA or White Plains NY

Fun, high energy, high performing team that spans between Atlanta, White Plains, and Manhattan. This hardworking team focuses on managing the fastest growing business within the Hiscox Group. They are a small but productive and highly respected team amongst the Change and Brokerage divisions.

This role has full accountability for program/project delivery based on the agreed upon scope, schedule, and budget constraints. Driving alignment across business, IT, and executive stakeholders will be paramount for success and provide you an opportunity to directly impact the organization with broad visibility.

What you’ll be doing as the Business Project Manager:

•        Responsible for leading project teams and managing all activities within the project lifecycle (initiation planning/definition/execution/ closing).
•        Leverage the Hiscox Change Delivery Framework (3D) and instil PM rigor with appropriate project governance, roles, and responsibilities.
•        Develop project scope and objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders throughout the project and ensuring technical feasibility.
•        Develop and revise detailed project plans and budget forecast.
•        Manage inter-dependencies between program work-streams to ensure successful delivery of the stated program objectives.
•        Manage resource availability and allocation.
•        Proactively drive risk and issue management to minimize/address project risks and obstacles. Report and escalate through the program governance model.
•        Facilitate transparency through regular and accurate reports about project status/metrics to stakeholders.
•        Facilitate regular decision points (gates) to ensure the progress of the project is supporting expected outcomes and avoids scope creep.
•        Manage variables of a project such as cost, schedule, scope, and deliverables to track to baselines.
•        Measure project performance using appropriate systems, tools and techniques.
•        Facilitate lessons learned and post-implementation benefits realization sessions.
•        Create and maintain comprehensive documentation to actively manage and coordinate project deliveries.
•        Apply change control processes to manage changes in project scope, schedule and costs. Handle changes as they arise, keeping stakeholders focused on the agreed deliverables and benefits.
•        Apply best project management practices and lessons learned.

Our must-haves:
•        7+ years of experience working as a Program/Project Manager in an environment of multiple projects with challenging timeframes and deliverables. There is an expectation the PM would manage a program of work or multiple projects concurrently.
•        BA/BS Degree or equivalent work experience.
•        Experience within an Insurance or Financial Services company a plus. Sufficient insurance knowledge to contribute to strategic and competitive discussions and decisions.
•        Experience with Product Development and IT projects preferred.
•        Experience of delivering large scale complex programs to multiple stakeholder groups.
•        Expected travel: 10 - 20%

•        Open-minded and approachable to ensure there is a constructive approach to problem solving. Actively explore solutions to problems – reducing barriers, costs and time.
•        Ability to work both strategically and operationally as the role requires.
•        Demonstrate learning agility to continue to build your knowledge and expertise.
•        Excellent presentation skills with the capability to present with impact to a variety of audiences.
•        Excellent problem solving and decision making capability.
•        Strong self-motivation, a dedication to building new processes and the ability and initiative to work effectively with limited guidance.
•        Proactive and delivery focused, with a real can-do attitude that is flexible and adaptable to changes in a fast paced

•        Knowledge of best practice project delivery methodologies and successful project governance principles.
•        Waterfall and Agile experience is a must.
•        Experience and understanding of software delivery lifecycle methodologies.
•        Strong PC skills with proficiency in Microsoft Project, Excel, PowerPoint, Word and familiarity with Visio, Access, JIRA a plus.
•        PMP certification is a plus.
