Job description:
Demonstrate administrative capability as a financial aid administrator by ensuring practices, policies, and procedures are in compliance with Federal and State regulations.

Must maintain a thorough working knowledge of financial aid rules and regulations.

Responsible for all training & compliance in accordance with Title IV regulations.

Coordinate data preparation for federal, state and institutional reports and financial aid data processing activities.

Coordinate training and act as point of contact with external call center.

Visit schools, colleges, and other groups to promote and explain financial aid programs.

Participate in internal/external audit reviews. Provide written responses and updates to policy changes.

Participate in appropriate committees.

Act as liaison with University personnel and/or external clients.

Review policies and procedures and make recommendations for revisions.

Document all office procedures for training & compliance.

Maintain records and coordinate preparation of special and periodic reports as required.

Review financial aid applications; determine student eligibility and award aid.

Coordinate default management efforts.

Adhere to any and all NCAA, Mid-American Conference and Eastern Michigan University policies, rules, regulations, and operational procedures.

Perform related departmental duties, as required.
Skills:
Knowledge and skills in administration, leadership and finance, typically acquired through the completion of a Bachelor's degree in Management, Finance or leadership, is required.

Three years of experience with financial aid policies and business procedures/practices is required.

Supervisory and management experience is desired.

Experience in financial aid is necessary.

Knowledge of the University's Red Flags Rule and Identify Theft Prevention Policy and Procedure.
