Salary Range :Budgeted range Analyst 4: $2,613.036 - $3,927.20 Grade 23

Responsibilities

The Financial Analyst 3 or 4 (depending on extent of qualifications of selected candidate) is responsible for specific components of the Health System (Medical Center and School of Medicine) annual budget, monthly financial processes in collaboration with General Accounting, financial analysis, financial system administration, and support of cost reduction/process improvements. Involved in financial analysis and budget variance analysis.
The Analyst 4, in addition, leads specific components of the UCD Health fiscal year operating budget process. Leads monthly close process for the Hospital and the School of Medicine. Trains end users in EPSi and Aggie Budget

Required Qualifications
Analyst 3 must have two to three years of experience in the following areas.
Analyst 4 must have at least five years of experience in the following areas.
Demonstrated professional level of analytical, statistical, and mathematical skills to conduct complex quantitative analyses
Advanced spreadsheet skills and ability to analyze, sort and accurately report on large volumes of data in a timely manner
EPSi and AggieBudget experience a plus
Experience in Tableau: creating and editing dashboard reports
Ability to build relationships with your peers, business partners and leadership team
Ability to work independently, taking responsibility for projects with input on objectives, with minimal direct supervision
Proven ability to present complex topics to all levels of management
Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office suite Excel, PowerPoint, Word, project tracking, and database packages
Ability to work under pressure, adapt to changing priorities and produce quality work, while meeting deadlines. Experience in the design of report formats, extraction of data, and development of financial and statistical reports. Ability to develop innovative solutions to difficult or unusual problems
Ability to develop executive summaries as well as detailed financial and statistical reports
Ability to interpret various reports, e.g., financial statements, labor distribution reports, the general ledger, health system policies and procedures. Ability to prioritize and organize work, clearly communicating status and achieving timelines

Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor degree in Finance or Accounting
