Weekly Scheduled Hours: 40

Monday Friday 8:00am to 5:00pm

DESCRIPTION

CBRE is looking to fill the position of Business Services Clerk (Mail)to support our client, Microsoft, in Reston, Virginia. This position will work onsite, Mon-Fri, 8:00am to 5:00pm.

Responsible for all basic administration of incoming and outgoing mail. Ordering and stocking of mail and office supplies in Mail Center as well as Mail/Copy Areas.Basic troubleshooting for copiers and replenishing of consumables.Maintaining and stocking break rooms, and serveries as well as phone and focus rooms.


RESPONSIBILITIES

Ensure that all packages received/delivered are shipped and/or delivered same day, or alternatively consignee will be advised of next day delivery.

Check daily and replenish, if necessary, all mail, office, and beverage supplies.

Ensure all packages delivered by carrier are addressed to company and number of packages delivered is the number that is being signed for.

Ensure all shipped packages are adequately protected against damage.

Process shipment request with vendor, advising package owner of arrangements.

Provide coverage for reception staff as may be required.

Assist with conference room set-up and clean-up as may be required.

Provide basic troubleshooting for copiers and replenish consumables.

Maintain inventory of materials and supplies for break rooms, serveries, and mail/copy areas.

Order materials/supplies as deemed necessary to ensure adequate stock.

Conduct Daily Walkthrough as outlined in schedule.

Other duties as assigned by manager.

No formal supervisory responsibilities in this position.



QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE

High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required.

COMMUNICATION SKILLS

Ability to comprehend and interpret instructions, short correspondence, and memos and ask clarifying questions to ensure understanding. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from clients, co-workers, and/or supervisor.


FINANCIAL KNOWLEDGE

Ability to calculate simple figures such as percentages.


REASONING ABILITY

Ability to understand and carry out general instructions in standard situations. Ability to solve problems in standard situations. Requires basic analytical skills.

SCOPE OF RESPONSIBILITY

Decisions made with general understanding of procedures and company policies to achieve set results and deadlines. Errors in judgment may cause short-term impact to co-workers and supervisor.
