JOB SUMMARY
Drive operations productivity/improvement and strategic planning across account senior leadership. Plans and manages operations and administrative support for a major technology account. Manages and oversees budgeting, process improvement, employee engagement activities, communications, and other functions enabling the department or business unit to meet objectives in an effective and efficient manner.
Serves as the lead communications advisor for multiple geographies, lines of business, or departments. Oversees both strategy and development of complex and higher profile internal and/or external communication materials (e.g. newsletters, press releases, internet/intranet pages, presentations, email communications, social media content).
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Acts as key logistical liaison and/or resource between management to either: a business unit, large department or work group. Works with management team(s) to identify, develop and implement strategic plans to achieve goals. Implements actions for improvement and practical solutions as approved by management.
- Facilitate/organize strategic planning process and outputs and partners with leadership to develop department initiatives.
- Responsible for internal communications, meetings, and managing connectivity between various departments.
- Develop, manage and champion process improvements to evaluate opportunities for centralization, outsourcing, new tools, and procedures
- Oversee employee and team development and process improvement around: Recognition programs, onboarding, training, succession planning, compensation programs and practices; employee/team performance; and recruitment/talent management.
- Develop a set of operating principles and processes to guide our teams. Leads and facilitates communication of best practices, policies, procedures and initiatives to support team operations. Ensures shared knowledge to implement process improvements. Facilitates process improvement by engaging appropriate resources in issue identification and resolution.
- Oversee connectivity to other departments (Operations, Finance, HR, etc.)
- Brings in-depth knowledge of the business to develop communication strategies that align to business goals and serves as primary consultant/advisor to business leaders. Manages projects in coordination with cross-functional partners (e.g. Marketing, Human Resources, Digital & Technology, etc.), including global projects.
- Manages key relationships with business leaders and matrix partners at a global level to define strategy, review progress, seek feedback. Influences the decision-making process and final outcomes.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
Manages the planning, organization, and controls for a major functional area or department. May be responsible for a mix of direct and matrix reports. Approves subordinate's recommendations for staff recruitment, selection, promotion, advancement, corrective action and termination. Effectively recommends same for direct reports to next level management for review and approval. Monitors appropriate staffing levels and reports on utilization and deployment of human resources. Leads and supports staff in areas of staffing, selection, training, development, coaching, mentoring, measuring, appraising and rewarding performance and retention. Leads by example and models behaviors that are consistent with the company's values.
