Job description:
Responsibilities

Reporting directly to our Chief Operating Officer, you will oversee the following military medicine programs/endowments: UCLA Operation Mend; UCLA Warrior Care Network; and the Ronald A. Katz Center for Collaborative Military Medicine. The Katz Center is an endowed fund committed to innovation and research in the field of defense, armed service safety/protection and comprehensive care for current and veteran US armed service personnel. You will also help drive the development of future programs while managing key program responsibilities, including:

· Program planning, operations, monitoring and tracking
· Finances and funding
· Human resources
· Information systems
· Space/facilities

This position involves partnering with clinical and non-clinical program directors to develop and implement program strategic plans, short- and long-range goals, high-level policies and fundraising strategies. You will represent these programs and UCLA Health to external government agencies and network partners.

Qualifications
We’re seeking a flexible, patient-focused, service oriented professional with:

· Master’s degree or PhD/PsyD
· Ten or more years of healthcare leadership experience
· Experience in a large institutional health care environment preferred
· Extensive experience with program planning, control, and policy formulation
· Ability to manage a diverse and complex set of operational and administrative functions
· Financial management expertise, including fund management, budgeting and forecasting
· Ability to drive, facilitate and manage change
· Excellent communication, interpersonal and presentation skills
· Ability to foster collaborative relationships with a wide variety of individuals and groups
· Clinical experience a plus
· Military service and/or experience with the Department of Defense, Veteran Affairs, etc. highly desirable
