Job Title: Project Architect/Job Captain

Job description:
Design Parameters and Presentations:
Establish accurate parameters for the design work, considering factors like building codes, site restrictions, budget, and schedule constraints.
Identify building systems options and evaluate their performance and cost criteria.
Assist in presenting design documents to clients and stakeholders.

Design Development and Technical Drawings:
Collaborate on the further development of design work, including creating technical drawings and specifications.
Coordinate with other disciplines involved in the project.

Project Team Management:
Oversee the daily activities of the architectural project team.
Monitor the progress of work and ensure the technical quality of construction documents (drawings and specifications).

Quality Review and Detailing:
Perform quality reviews of projects as assigned.
Create architectural details in the documents.

Construction Administration:
Review submittals, conduct site visits, issue construction bulletins, address field-related construction issues, and perform other construction administration tasks.
Provide appropriate directions to contractors.

Office Standards and Tools:
Help maintain and improve office architectural standards, details, and production tools.



Skills:
Experience: A minimum of five years in all phases of architectural design and documentation, including work direction.

Education: A Bachelor of Architecture professional degree is required (a Master’s degree is preferred). A 4-year Bachelor of Architectural Studies Degree will be considered.

Licensing: Registered Architect or actively pursuing licensing.

Technical Skills: Proficiency in Revit and SketchUp is required. Basic knowledge of BIM360, Bluebeam, and Microsoft Office programs.

Personal Attributes: Highly collaborative, self-directed, and detail-oriented.
